Silly Smiles

Hi Everyone!

So, we are looking forward to 2 weeks off for "Holy Week". Pretty much everything closes down for a couple of weeks. That's one thing I've noticed. . Versus Americans, Mexicans take their life so much more, um seriously here. A 2 hour lunch break. - Drive home - (15 min), relax with the family, and return to work. The average person works from 9 or 10am until 2pm, then from 4pm until 7pm. And I'm counting on my fingers, hhhmmm that's still 8 hours. Hey, I used to work from 8 until 7pm. I got ripped off for all those years working 10 and 12 hours a day???!!?!?!?!?!?

An appointment or agreed upon meeting time of let's say 5pm, for example. . That means that the 2 parties can arrive at any time during the hour of 5 o'clock. It doesn't mean at the stroke of 5pm. And no one gets upset by this, a smile and a shrug, hey, you're in Mexico - relax! !

Christmas basically closed the whole country, well, it was Christmas, then New years, the "Tres Reys" 3 kings day, then "Dia de Muertas" Day of the Dead. . ya the whole place pretty much celebrated for 6 weeks!

So you wonder why no one here looks or acts stressed. You will see little green parks with walking trails and shady trees with fountains, and will see couples lounging around, gazing into each others eyes, (but be careful, being tooo touchy is asking for a night in jail!)

Most everyone Can afford help with the house, the car, the garden, the cooking, the kids. I think the really wealthy people hire a person to work out at the gym for them too !! Even the working guys, construction, road crews, etc. they even look relaxed as they sit on the side of the road around their campfire, heating their eggs and tortillas.

So, in the spirit of relaxing, here are some silly, at an arm's length pics !!

Happy Easter to everyone, Happy Passover to everyone, and, especially, our Love to everyone!!
